Introduction
Please, help us to combat corruption, corporate crime, environmental pollution, and unethical behaviour. Every report of any violation is important and can help us prevent financial loss and damage to our reputation. With your help, we can ensure our integrity and reliability and thereby also our success.
You are free to choose whether you want to remain anonymous when you submit a report.
We would, however, urge you not to remain anonymous and to state your name in the report.
The whistle blower system may not be used to make deliberate false accusations against individuals, and no information whatsoever that is known to be false may be reported.
All reports will be treated in the strictest confidence.
What can be reported?
You can use the whistleblower system to report serious matters such as:
· Serious financial crime, including bribery, fraud, forgery of documents and similar
· Irregularities in connection with audits and internal audits
· Environmental pollution
· Serious violations of occupational health and safety regulations
· Serious matters concerning an employee, including violence and sexual assault
Matters such as bullying, dissatisfaction with pay, violation of the alcohol policy, etc. should not be reported here, but should instead be reported through the other channels. For employees, this will be to their line manager or the HR/Staffing Department. For external business partners, this will be the usual contact person at the shipping company or a member of the executive board (their contact details can be found on the company’s website).
Anonymity
If you want to ensure that you remain anonymous, you must observe the following:
· If possible, do not report from a PC provided by your employer
· Do not use a PC connected to the company’s network or intranet
· Access the whistleblower system directly by copying or typing the URL into a browser instead of clicking on a link
· Do not include your own personal details or any other information that can identify you
Secure mailbox
When you submit the report, a secure mailbox is created with a password that you will receive after submitting the report.
You can use this password to log into the mailbox and see the status of the report, see the answers from the person investigating your report and to provide further information.
All communication is based solely on the information you provide. The mailbox therefore allows you to remain anonymous while communicating with the investigator.
